HenseltFest 2022

20 years of the International Henselt Society Festival from 23-25 Sep 2022

In 2022, the International Adolph Henselt Society will look back on its 20th anniversary. During all these years it was able to develop its activities with the great support of the city of Schwabach and thanks to this close cooperation it has become an integral part of cultural life in Schwabach. The anniversary is an occasion to continue the extraordinary format of the Schwabach Henselt Festival: concerts and scientific lectures are combined to make knowledge about Adolph von Henselt and his time "audible". This time the focus is on the neglected genre of the arrangement or the processing, among other things in the rather rare form of presentation of the duo on two pianos. In addition, the canon of the usual concert repertoire will be expanded to include some previously unheard rarities.
